Does anybody own something like this? I would love one that is strong enough for peanut chews. I bake snack every week and I admit, cutting it all up is a nightmare.

The one pictured is $2,000

Amazon.com has one for $4 but it’s a single row at a time… I can do that with a knife, almost.

how difficult is cutting a cake? unless you are doing huge quantities, it is hardly ever worth washing these things for one use.

Do you know what it’s like to kill your wrist for a cake? And it takes about an hour to do a batch of peanut chews.

and everyone can help with it, including the washing.

It looks like a large version of an egg slicer. I once tried an egg slicer for cheese and the wires broke off. I wouldn't think it would work for peanut chews, but I may be totally wrong.

I have actually seen one that is like a giant swinging knife in a commercial bakery. The knife table has a ruler built in and the knife slides on the table to the correct place...then WHAM...anither row is cut.

I think these are strong, like guitar strings.
