my 2 3/4 yr old DS has been rocking and head banging since he was 8mo's old.
we moved him to a bed early b/c Dr. said "banging against the wall isn't as bad
as banging into th crib bars"
and this is not merely tapping, we live in an apartment and it sounds like slamming into the wall
embarrassed we're always embarressed b/c of what it sounds like... LOL
he's banging on an outside wall and we feel it in our room, I feel bad for the neighbors,
and for us too, we can't sleep with the noise and he wakes up DD also!
each time he does it we go in and tell him to stop, it's bad for his "keppie" and he'll
get a boo boo.
he says ok and when we walk out starts again.
I'm also scared for his little noggen!
any ideas?

WHat does your doctor say?????
This could indicate something serious!

When I was a teenager, I babysat for the little girl next door, who used to bang her head against the crib every night. They went every type of doctor. It turned out, that she was allergic to some orange dye that was in her waffles, macaroni and cheese and all of the other food they fed her. It turns out that she was getting migraines at night and so she would bang her head against the crib in pain.

Please check out with a doctor what it could be! That's not normal.
