I want a fool proof recipe for cookies that my kids can use to make shapes out of. (it shouldnt be too sticky and easy to handle)
Exact directions please as I am not a baker.
If I have a bosch machine which part do I use the Challah bowl or Cake Bowl?

1 c. sugar
1 c. margarine
1 c. shortening
a little less than 5 c. flour
1 t. vanilla
1 t. lemon extract
2 eggs
1 t. baking powder
mix together, fridge overnight or freezer a couple of hours, roll 1/4" thick, bake 375 for 10-12 minutes.
I don't know about full proof, but I've made these many times and it always comes out good. I know, it uses a ton of margarine.

I would use the cake bowl, with the dough hook attachment, Bosch also makes cookie paddles, which are great!

any recipe for mandelbrodt will work very well. my mother used to use her grandmother's mandelbrodt recipe whenever we wanted to make cookies as kids. just don't overbake them.

The older Spice and Spirit cookbooks have this recipe with Tbsp. I tried it once and thought it was horrible. The later editions have the identical recipe but with tsp instead.
