this question is for mothers who have to actively put their child to sleep (rock, sing etc.) and not just put them own.

what do you do when your child goes to a gan/mitapelet/day care? how does the child go down for a nap?

just wondering because I may start looking for a home job soon and would want to sendd my daughter out to a mishpachton for a few hours but she has to be rocked to sleep.

anyone?

I know that the way it's set up in my sons' daycare, the metaplot set up the playpens & mattresses in such a way that the metaplot can sit between them and rock (playpens) or rub backs, 2 kids at a time.

Just because your child will not go to sleep unless you rock him/her, doesn't mean someone else will set up the system that way. Children adjust to their surroundings. When my husband is home, my babies expect to be rocked and all the works but when it is just me, they go to sleep because they know I am not going ot do all that. I think the same thing at daycare. My daughters teacher last year used to rub their bellies two kids at a time and they would fall asleep in minutes. Doesn't work at home though.
