Oh please. Its completely fine not to celebrate first birthday, and we all know that those who do are doing it for the social aspect! The baby obviously couldn't care less but we like finding excuses to party.

Thumbs Up

my sons 1st b-day - I was at the begining of my pregnancy - it was a great excuse to have pizza again! I invited my sisters with there kids (it was also officially for one of their boys who was born a few weeks b4) Obviously it was a real kid friendly party- we started it early b4 the menfolk came home... decorated the place with primary colored tablecloth, ballons, plates , b-day hats & party favors. We ordered pizza & fries & I baked a b-day cake decorated w/ a big one...

we all had a great time & even though the 2 little munchkins didn't understand much, the other kids really enjoyed!
