Does this happen to anyone else? Every time I launder certain skirts of mine (usually the denim ones, but a couple of khaki ones also) the entire hem around the bottom of the skirt curls or flips up.

So now, I have a skirt which I would normally not iron (very few wrinkles) out of the dryer, except that the bottom hem all around the skirt is folded up. I HATE ironing, but I don't know of any other remedy except to look like a dork.

Anybody got ideas on how to deal?

I have skirts with hem issues too. . .so annoying! I just don't put them in the dryer. After they come out of the washer, I hang them up and smooth the hems with my hands.

I agree with MiamiMommy--that's what I do. I take it out of the dryer while it's still hot, and depending on the fabric, sometimes still damp. I smooth out the bottom with my hand, especially the seams, and it's usually OK! Sometimes, I do have to break out that dreaded iron, though. It depends on the fabric of the skirt.

No, you look normal, it's the people who take out their iron that look like dorks LOL .

I have that with shirts too.

I wash and dry or hang as usual. but when I want to wear it, the night before I dip it into the sink, then clip it with laundry pins (bought for this purpose) and hang someplace.

it never fails to work great.
