Personally I thought that most of those headbands where tacky and draw a lot of attention to ones self. Just my opinion sorry not for me.

I agree completely. I was very surprised to see a BY high school girl wearing one last year and was appalled to see one on her mother (who is a BY high school teacher and a Rebbetzin) recently!

IMO excessive embellishment just makes things look cheap--ironic, because a lot of those embellishments cost quite a lot. I'm not sure which shows worse taste--excessive fake embellishment or excessive real precious metal and jewel embellishment.
