I've been doing a lot of baking today.
Here's what happened...I made some pies which filled the oven. While they were cooking, I prepared a huge batch of muffins. In the few minutes that I took the pies out and put the muffins in, dh must have turned off the oven. I didn't notice. I made a second huge, double batch of muffins, while I throught the first batch was cooking. When the buzzer rang, that was when I noticed the oven was off. So, I was stuck with two huge double batches, and only room for 1! I cooked the 1st, but then the batter for the 2nd sat for 40 minutes. Is the 2nd batch OK to eat, even though it sat for a bit before being cooked? It has eggs in it. Thanks!

yes they're fine ... I was worried they fell in since the oven was warm but not hot ... if that didn't happen you're safe to eat ...
