We successfully got some ink out of dh's shirt using Carbona ink stain remover... but it wasn't easy.

when I googled it, it came up as goo gone stain remover. Is there a specific one for stains or is it this one? TIA.

no, no. don't order anything special.
place a paper towel under the stain. spray the stain with hairspray repeatedly until it is out. the stain will be absorbed by the paper towel. throw the shirt in the washing machine with everything else. the end.
yay!

PURELL! Same concept as hairspray, the alcohol dissolves the ink & the gel version in purell or any other hand sanitizer works like magic. My daughter got red permanent marker on a new pink velour hoodie. I caught it immediately while she was doing the deed. I put a shmatta underneath to catch the "bleed". I poured on the purell & rubbed - I had to change the shmatta a few times as the ink bled into it as it dissolved. Then I rinsed it, rubbed liquid Tide into it & washed it on warm. 99% came out!

I used regular alchohol, scrubbed it with a toothbrush and viola! the results were great.
