I toilet trained my son a few weeks ago, and he's doing so well with keeping his pants dry. In fact too dry. He's constantly telling me that he 'went pee in the poilet awedy' even when its been hours. The worst was this past night... he went to the bathroom at 8pm and woke up at 5am screaming uncontrollably. The only thing I can find possibly bothersome would be the need to 'pee' but he refused. He finally went back to sleep, except he woke up still dry and at 9 am he still hadn't gone to the toilet. I forced him to go, but he made only a bit (I feel like he's holding back)
I do keep him in pull-ups for this reason so that he could release himself. but he doesn't.
I don't know what to do.
He was out of daycare a few days this week, and when he went back his teacher forget he's toilet trained so she didn't take him to the bathroom all morning.... at close to 12 she was changing diapers ,she remembered my son. And he was still dry. I don't think its healthy, but I'm at a loss of what to do.

We always said my son had a bladder the size of a basketball, so none of this sounds unusual to me.

How about throwing some Cheerios, or the round cereal of your choice, into the commode and asking him if he'd like to have some target practice? It might make him want to go.

Perhaps put some warm water on his belly. (hot water bottle; warm not hot.)
My daughter did this once. She trained early; but there were days she would wake up and not go to the bathroom for hours. I think she once went a couple of days (we did talk to the doctor).
