Chili powder, cumin, salsa. Go to recipezaar.com and sort according to rating.

I do it very often and it comes out delicious. I saute and onion in oil, then add mushrooms until well fried. Then I add the amount of ground beef you want and cook until no longer red. Then add some shredded lettuce and grape tomatoes cut in halves. Let fry in same pot for a few min. Add the spice that comes along with the taco kit. It says on the box how much water to add to the spice. Let entire pot cook with the water and spice for about 20 min stirring constantly or until most of the sauce evaporated. No other spices needed! Take entire mixture and fill tacos. Pour on top the sauce that comes along with the kit.
It's delicious and tastes like the ones you can get in the restaurants.

The seasonings I tend to use are garlic powder, black pepper, cumin, paprika and just a tiny amount of chili powder.
Brown the meat, when it's almost cooked through I add the spices, then I drain the fat and sometimes I'll add a bit more spice.
Often I'll saute an onion and green or red pepper.
