My daughter is in the 16+ group and is doing it through Flatbush COJO, but I don't know if it makes a difference who you do it through as far as the lessons/teacher you get (unless maybe they do have a few frum teachers as some mentioned - but my daughter's isn't). There is definitely liberal propaganda in the lessons which is very upsetting. For example, they said "republicans tried to take away your right to protest" by the Women's Marches. I looked it up and made sure she gets the true story. Another time they were talking all about how minorities live in poor neighborhoods and white people live in richer neighborhoods and trees aren't planted in the poor neighborhoods, only in the richer neighborhoods - which don't even need it because they have trees already. They also mention BLM as an organization that fights for social justice, and encourage going out to protest. They tell you your rights if you get arrested - you don't have to talk, ask for a lawyer etc. This isn't a complete list - only a sampling of what I heard and remember. I'll be making sure to listen to it along with my daughter so I can set the facts straight.

I have 2 daughters on it, one in the older group and one in the younger group. They haven't noticed the liberal agenda, but they both were told to watch a video that had a trans woman in it who was supposedly a victim of discrimination. They both skipped over that part but I'm very disturbed that this is what COJO is endorsing. I know COJO doesn't control the program but if they are as involved as they are, they should have some influence on the content.

I know that Torah Umesorah is not endorsing it for this very reason.

DD is in the 16+ group through COJO of Flatbush, as well, and she also skipped that video. I had spoken to the head of the program in advance and specifically asked about any possible LBGTQ agenda, and he told me he hadn’t seen anything in the curriculum about it. (Guess he missed that video.) I’ve been keeping an ear out, and haven’t noticed anything else that was too objectionable- so far. I plan to keep on monitoring it . . .

Wow this is very upsetting. I am beyond outraged . The kids who are in this program are getting a small sample of what is being taught in the public schools systems, on the backs of tax payers. The Teachers are on board with this liberal agenda. I think it is time to defund the public schools system.

My daughter is doing it as well. A lot of propaganda and falsehoods, discussion of socialism, encouraging kids to protest with pictures of BLM and gay marriage protests, video regarding transgender discrimination. Of course that’s not to say discrimination should be encouraged, but all this stuff is being pushed pretty hard.
