Studies show that natural immunity is 13 stronger then vaxxed immunity.
And natural immunity lasts longer then vaxxed immunity which starts waning immediately and is gone in around 200 days (about 6 mo).

That doesn’t mean you’re not immune .

Put aside your concerns about side effects or efficacy for the moment. If you knew the vaccine to be safe and effective against a disease that has killed more than 5 million people, whose long term effects are unknown, why would you have a problem with semi-annual boosters? |
Because we don't know the vaccine for sure is safe. And pfizer won't release the data for 55 years...by then it will be too late.

Millions of people cured of parasitic infection with invermectin.
But as I said, chas v'shalom you get covid, feel free to use telemed and get yourself some ivermectin to treat yourself. Its your choice.

Is there a particular reason that you appear to be obsessed with transgender people?

Because transgender is anti science. You are taking your covid science from people that proclaim with a straight face that men can give birth and men can menstuate. Why would you believe anything from liars like that?

Nice spinning of information. Its what our last president called "fake news." Do you even know what the source of this absurdist spin is?

A real red flag for me is when people need to make fun or mock others’ opinions
Or the media narrative does so
That’s when it’s obvious more is going on than meets the eye.

I thought all studies were fake. Or is that only the ones you disagree with?

From what I read, vaccine immunity is still going strong. https://www.yalemedicine.org/n.....-last

Look at most recent Israeli data. While most people would never choose to get it and so vaccinate those that did get it so have more natural immunity 27x stronger. Facts and data inform our choices. That’s when we do best IY”H.

What's the spin? Are they releasing all the data soon?
I find it hard to believe that they can make a vaccine in under a year but can't hire more than 10 employees to go through the data sooner.

LOL. Who believes this nonsense? Pfizer made billions, surely they can pay for more employees? Who actually believes this garbage?

Here's the thing.
Natural immunity requires infection, which carries a risk of a whole lot of illness, hospitalization, or death. And who knows what long term consequences. I'm not sure why anyone would volunteer for it. So even if it were a whole lot better, it wouldn't really matter. | no it doesn’t. I know multiple people who have/had high antibodies and never tested positive, despite multiple tests.

I would like to know if there is a non antibody way to test immunity available. I had no antibodies a little under 6 months after I had covid. I know that doesn’t mean I’m not immune but I got vaccinated.

Antibodies go away once the body is no longer fighting a virus. That's normal and natural course - for all viruses that your body fought over your lifetime. The body stores the memory of how to make the antibodies again in the White Blood T-Cells.
T-Cell test that was authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization. Not covered by insurance.

amother [ OP ] wrote: | Which do you believe lasts longer?
2 vaccine doses or natural immunity after having covid?
We know they both wane eventually.
How long do you believe they last? |
Why are you asking for beliefs? Is this a religious issue? Why don’t we look at facts and see if we KNOW (not believe) that one type of immunity supersedes the other.
Even CNN, the far-left leaning media company, had this article on their website in the headline news with the headline: “Reinfection from Covid-19 is rare, severe disease is even rarer, a study of people in Qatar finds”
https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/24......html
That’s pretty much black-and-white evidence that natural immunity is much stronger than immunity from the vaccine, as it’s known that immunity from the vaccine begins to wane as early as three months after vaccination. That’s basically only a two and a half month period of being vaccinated.
Additionally, from statistics alone, we know that breakthrough infection is much more common with Delta than any other variant, in fact common enough that infection rates (not severe illness or death rates) among the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated are almost the same, as seen in numerous published sources tracking this data.
So rare vs common (reinfection vs breakthrough infection) is your answer right there.
ETA: The article does say that this study was mostly on the alpha and beta variants and not on the delta variant. However, the fact that the scientists were quoted as saying the findings as to the rarity of reinfection were “remarkable” does attest to the fact that there is a lot of underestimation of how strong immunity from natural infection actually is.
And yes, the article does conclude with the expected takeaway - that this doesn’t at all mean that vaccination is unnecessary if one has recovered from Covid. The reason being that it doesn’t hurt to have added protection. An analogy is given about having more than one way to save your life in a car (airbags and seatbelts) which is hardly an appropriate analogy, since each serves a completely different function in saving your life. Whereas, the vaccine and natural infection both have the same function - providing immunity. There are no facts or evidence given to back up the claim that the added immunity from the vaccine results in a significant difference in one’s risk when comparing those who were vaccinated after infection with those who were vaccinated and never been infected.

I tested positive for Covid in April 2020 and I was pregnant at the time. I took an anti body test a few months later and the test was negative. September 2021, my teenager tested positive for Covid and had flu like symptoms. He was home with me and my baby all day, for 2 weeks and baruch hashem neither me or my baby got Covid. I had been deciding if I should vaccinate or not and decided not to because I most likely have natural immunity.

You left out the most important option:
"I'm not an immunologist, epidemiologist, or infectious disease specialist, and therefore I don't know which lasts longer and am waiting for science to figure it out."
The second-most important option, which you also left out, is:
"COVID-19 hasn't been around long enough for us to definitively know which type of immunity lasts longest."

I don't know but if I had a question like this I call my GP and not go on imamother because for sure there I will not find any logic regarding COVID vaccines.
