I am laughing about this! I read the article about her a few weeks ago and she stated that her grandmother is jewish....that makes goldie jewish and kate as well. a few days later she changed her tune and said I wont cut my sons hair till hes three becuz he likes long hair...seems like the jewish admittance backfired on her...so she changed the story the way it fits her best! and about why ppl have TV intheir house? anonymous posters.....why do u post anonymously? are u scared of anything? I have no problem being vocal and expressing my thoughts! arent we all here to share,discuss,exchange,express,compliment or maybe even constructively criticize? do u know the reason why someone would have a tv? dont judge! for one some ppl are bedbound or housebound or rl sick and tv takes their mind off of their tzuris and maybe its better to have one IN the house than to look for it OUT of the house,like this it could be monitored. I dont have a TV,nor do I condone it...but then again...niether am I JUDGEMENTAL! and I dont post ANONYMOUSLY as I am confident in my posts!

Yeah, I read the same thing somewhere about her recent comment on why she's leaving her 2 yr old's sons hair to grow until he turns 3, for religious reasons, she states that her mom is Jewish.

Madonna, Britney and Ashton Kutcher have all joined the "Kabbalistic Cult" and were all sporting "the" red strings.

I for one, don't own a tv, but I do watch dvds, and in my family, it's a big nononononono.. should my parents find out, I'm dead meat...
and ppl who know me from here, might tell on me.

Famous people have to find their paths just like the non-famous...their journeys just seem to attract more attention.
As with many who are not ffb, sometimes its when children are born that an awakening occurs in people who have not been particularly religious up to that point in their lives.
Personally, I feel a sense of true, sincere, heartfelt joy upon finding out when ANYONE, famous or non-famous, makes a move towards anything that connects them to our people. Wink

ok, we're modern Orthodox, and even we are leaving our son's hair alone until 3 years old. I didn't realize it was a Chassidic minhag?!

And, yes, we watch tv and I admit it, but I didn't know this about Kate Hudson.

I don't see many MO leaving the hair long until 3 years. I think there may be 1 kid like that in my shul.
