Eeneamom, you can come out of hiding.

We know you whisper when you think something shouldn't be said out loud.

Totally got it. You cook the chulent in the pot (or in bekela in an oven), and then you transfer it to your nose for Shabbos.

Do you ladle it in, or snort it up?

Any good salmon recipes?
I will have you know that DH bought FLOUNDER! AT $16 a pound. He thought it would be a nice treat. I'd rather wait & spend the money on steak.

Because our blessed local Kashrus agency outlawed flounder years ago, and evidently one strain or source is considered kosher now (that is, free of anasakis worms)

(I think it's fluke flounder, which doesn't sound very nice, I though fluke was a kind of parasite... Yes, indeed:
Fluke (fish), a species of flatfish
Fluke (flatworm), a class of parasitic flatworms
Fluke (tail), the lobes of the tail of a cetacean, such as dolphins or whales)

Just following up to hear how the $16 flounder tasted? did it remind you of steak?

You're complaining about rollercoasters and camp?
Yoish. The generation today.

Back in my day, we walked 6 miles to school, uphill both ways, in eight feet of snow and 100 degree weather. And we thanked our teachers for smacking us up with a ruler when needed.
Sheesh.
And you complain of rollercoasters.
Spoiled brat.

I just went back and read this. and was wondering if the 8 ft of snow was the same time as the 100 degree weather?
and just for the record I never liked amusement parks, hence my dislike to rollercoasters. I do like be amused though. like I LOVE this thread!

No, and it wasn't twice as good as tilapia at twice the price. But if a DH is willing to do the shopping (especially in 90 degree weather) who are we to complain?

My cholent doesn't bubble in my nose, but for a while I was putting the cholent pot in another part of the house so I couldn't smell it Friday night.

Scary to think about pregnancy symptoms when I am almost old enough to be a great grandmother.

"The average lifespan of penguins is probably 15 to 20 years. Some individuals live considerably longer (Sparks and Soper, 1987)."

Hmmm a penguin breeds at 6 or 7 years old. So if your oldest had a chick when you were 12, then yeah, I'm afraid you really are of great grandmothering age.

Why did that picture come out so large? Anyone know how to make it smaller?

BTW do you notice that is says picture resized? I always thought that meant that it was minimized...

Guess you're a super great grandmother.
