How can I transfer some video clips and music files to an ipod? I have lots of stuff in there and I heard if you start doing it alone you can mix everything up and lost it.

there may be other ways, but I only know of this way:
download Itunes (google their site)
Then you import/export your files; actually, Itunes will do so by default.
Then you connect your ipod to your computer and sync.
I hope someone will come along and be more helpful.
Actually, when you download Itunes there's the option of step-by-step instructions. So click on that.

Keep in mind that usually, whatever you currently have on your iPod will get deleted when you upload the new stuff. If you have the old stuff in your computer as well, you can upload the new and old (provided that you have a large enough iPod, obviously). IOW, it clears out the iPod and uploads a new file entirely.

no no no
my kids use itunes all the time to add music to their ipods - you set it so that you manually decide what to add & what to remove
I haven't done it in a while, but just download the currect version of itunes from apple & read the how to & help files. it is very user friendly. if you open a file to play in itunes it is automatically put into itunes & can be manually added to an ipod

Are you sure they don't create folders that have all the stuff they need?
