creating a website like Google

I would like to open a website. Just a temporary thing. I'm doing it more as a joke for a friend (& her DH) who are convinced I know everything. They're constantly telling me to open a website called "www.askchana.com"
So I want something that'll be free. Even if it's just for a month or 2.
I really do not want to give my creditcard, if possible.
I want it to be a search engine like Google. It can be powered by Google. I'd rather not have much work to do. After all, it's just as a joke.
Anyone know how,& where I can do this?

Lol - that's hilarious. I think what you need to do is to first buy the domain name. I don't know of any way to get it for free. Its probably $10 for a year. Then, I think there's a way that you can add a google search box onto your web page. So when someone goes to askchana.com, they will see a google search box.

Keep us updated on what ends up happening! Sounds like a funny story in the making... Wink
