only 2year old in playgroup with a bunch of 3year olds

my ds started nursery today, he just turned 2 last week. when I got to the nursery today I found that he was going to be the only 2year old with a bunch of about 10 three year olds. this is because there have been no 2year olds apart from him stared this year.

his speech is very advanced and he can talk just about as much as them. he deff needs to be in nursery because he is soooo bored at home.

do you think he will be ok with the older group or do you think he will be left out because he is younger?? one of the boys there today comented that he is a baby like my little brother.

I stayed with him today and he did seam a bit out of it but that may have been because it was his first time in that kind of an environment.

help..... im not sure what to do!

Voice your concerns to the teacher. Then wait to see how it goes. Give it more then a few days. He may need time to adjust.

Is he mature? How about waiting a week and see how it goes? A year is a big difference at this age though so it depends of how long they sit by circle time...and see if he can handle it.
