I'm so happy!!!! I finally did it! I've been discussing it for a month & finally, last night I pulled the plug!!! I feel like a better person already- I just hope I can handle it....

Good for you! I dont think I can do it...I want to move it out of my room though...my husband wants to get rid of it..or thats what he tells me cuz he has access to one at his office and I would be the one missing out...

We didn't have a tv, but had a video machine that we got rid of a few months ago. It is such a relief! No more whining 'caniwatchavideoooooooooooo' at the first sign of boredom.

We got rid of ours recently & you know what? I'm not as bored as I would've thought. I don't miss it & I find other things to do, like internet, spending time with DH (we only watched in the evenings), crosswords, phone calls etc. And I always know I can rent a movie if I'm desperate.

I've unplugged and trashed mine about a year ago and haven't regretted it since! I wouldn't take it back if you paid me! It robbed me of time with family, self, housekeeping, sleep, whatnot.... Next on line is this computer. I'll let you know when that happens.....
