Is there any reason why I should not deposit a check that is made out to my name for services that I dont remember, and have no idea if I gave?
I received 2 checks in the mail, one I was expecting and the second says on it for this xyz service. I am quite sure I didnt provide this service, but maybe they didnt label it properly and I gave a service in the next month that they are paying me early for????
I emailed them to ask them to clarify what the second check was for, but haven't received any reply.
can I just deposit it anyway?
is it dishonest to deposit a check made out to my name if I dont know what its for?

I would personally put it on hold and not do anything with it.
But I don't think it's dishonest to deposit it, if they made a mistake you can always refund the money...
