I will soon be seeing some friends and relatives who live in the States and I need some ideas for good gifts to give their kids. I want to give something they can't get in America, something specifically "Israel."
The kids are little--the oldest is about 6--and I would like to keep it as inexpensive as possible. Some of the kids are frum and live in a major Jewish community so they can get almost anything I can get here, I would assume. And some of the kids have no connection to Yiddishkeit whatsoever (two unfortunately aren't even Jewish).
So does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks!

For the ones who aren't frum/Jewish, little kids LOVE to collect things. What about just some coinage (take it out of your wallet...a 10ag, 50ag, 1, 2, 10 NIS coin, as a set) or a collector's stamp from the post office (under 20NIS), or a bunch of tourist-y/Israeli postcards (they usually cost 5-10NIS each).
For the frum ones, some age appropriate sefarim in HEBREW?

My father got my nephews pens from the olive wood store with their names on them in hebrew and they loved them. He also got them junk food with hebrew labels.

These are good ideas! Thanks. The coin collection is a really good one. Now I just need to figure out what I can bring for little people under 2 (there are a few of those.) Any ideas for that?

A deck of playing cards with Israeli tourist locations? I'm sure they must sell them with images of the kotel, knesset, Bahai temple (Haifa)...
