OK, every baby name site I look at says that Elizabeth is a Hebrew name, and yet I have never, ever met someone who had that as their Hebrew name. So is it a) something in Hebrew that isn't obvious? I know about Aliza, but that's quite different from Elizabeth, right? Or b) not a name Jews use, and if not, why? TIA.

I believe it's the Anglicized version of Elisheva.
