They are very different.
At Curves you work out on machines.
Shape has lots of classes.

Like ra_mom said, Curves just consists of a circuit of machines and you do virtually the same workout each time.

Shape has machines, personal trainers, and classes (IIRC).

FTR, it's called Shape, not Shapes.

The best way to find out about pricing is to call because prices of fitness clubs constantly change and they usually don't post prices online as cost varies at each franchise.

shape has certain classes at certain hours. if you're not available those hours, you lose out. iirc, curves is open all day and you go when you want...which may be more convenient depending on your schedule.

If you get a gold or platinum membership from Lucile, you can attend any of t heir locations, and they have many many classes and events. I have had a good time running all over the city to their different branches.

the closest luccile to me is about 1 mile away

why shoudl I run thern when curves or shape is just a few blocks away?

Make an informed decision. Look at all three, see when the classes are, if that's what interests you, and decide.
