While I am on imamother, just now, my son 10 yrs old comes out of bed and heads straight for the door and opens the lock to leave... I headed him straight to the bathroom and then he went back to sleep. He didn't respond when I was talking to him. What should I do to prevent this from happening again? Does anyone know why kids sleep walk?

speak to your dr. is this the first time? did he do this when he was younger too ?
is he under a lot of stress or any new to him situations ?

See a doctor and get a safety/ security bar to place at the TOP of the door ASAP....
