Anyway...it's trendy to be Jewish these days... and if she knew a tiny bit about Judaism, she wouldn't call herself half Jewish. It doesn't exist. She would also know being chassidish isn't hereditary LOL

as chani said - just like you don't cut fruit from trees (benefit) for the first 3 years - orlah - you don't cut a little boy's hair for the first 3 years - trees bear fruit b4 then!

Hey, she is Jewish and it is at least something. This is probably the first time that she is connecting in any way with being Jewish. I think that it is a good thing. Who knows, if she likes this then maybe she will look into more things Jewish and who knows where it could lead. Unlike the whole Kabbala thing.

I dont watch TV and have heard of both Goldie Hawn and kate Hudson just from reading stuff like Readers Digest.

I read that she likes the Jewish sustom and will keep his hair long until he's at least three!! That's not to say that they will cut it AT 3!
Also they are hippie style- and long hair totally goes hand in hand with that.... a thought!

frankly, I have never heard of kate hudson until this post...although I do remember the name goldie hawn from ages and ages ago in my youth before the tv was banned. Tongue Out

It'd funny cause I was just looking at this week's people. There was a pic of kate hudson with her son. The text under the pic said: And about her son's long locks? She says he likes it long, maybe she'll trim it when he turns three. I guess she was embarrassed at her jewish explanation after all.
