I make my own honey mustard dressing so its as natural as possible. Grilled tofu in this sauce is really yum. As a vegetarian I find lentil burgers, walnut burgers, or black bean burgers very nutritious and filling. All of these can also be made as a stew over brown rice. (Recipes can be googled) Quinoa is also great with veggies topped with roasted almonds Smile
Other things we also love are big salads- egg salad, purple cabbage salad, olive dips, shredded carrot salads, etc with homemade whole wheat, rye, or spelt pitas Smile
For breakfast we usually have fruitshakes! Today we had apple, banana, dates, almonds & milk and we werent hungry till noon and had tons more fresh energy than coffee!

Lasagne

Homemade Pizza - individual - choose your own toppings

Fish - expensive so once is enough

Tacos - with pareve meat, so we can have sour cream, shredded cheese, etc for toppings.

Sun - mac and cheese, lettuce salad
Mon - mushroom quiche , couscous, roasted green beans
Tues - baked potattoes, tuna, cheese, broccoli, baked beans
Wed - salmon patties
Thurs - Lasagne
After fast - veg/lentil soup, whole wheat rolls, (maybe also fried tilapia leftover from shabbos - I make it for my non-meat eater in the family)

one of my kids requested salmon . I said no, becasue I usually make it only for yomtgov. it does not seem right to make something which in my home is a fancy/luxury meal during the nine days. (I believe it all depends on what is special for your family, each family is different.)

I love milchigs, so I don't actually "suffer" in this respect during the 9 Days.

Lentil soup + salad + roasted potatoes

Cheese + veggie omlettes + green beans + rice

All sorts of Indian dishes.

Sushi (if I am feeling decadent, which just seems wrong during the 9 Days...).

Cheese + veggie lasagne + salad

Crusty whole wheat bread, orange soup, goat cheese, roasted beets

How do you make the crockpot mac and cheese? Sounds delicious!

I'll probably end up cooking for two nights and making doubles as I usually do during the year. (I get home late on Tuesdays and Thursdays and don't have time to cook.)

Sunday: scrambled eggs/lox paninis, tossed salad with avocado dressing
Monday+Tuesday: teriyaki salmon, brown rice, Asian coleslaw
Wednesday+Thursday: homemade pizza, greek salad

I'll probably make a big pot of pasta today for the week in case the kids get picky.

Blueberry- my meals are weekday meals- they dont include Sunday as we typicllay go out or eat leftovers and Shabbat is usually entirely different meals (chicken, standard sides etc) cause that is what my DH likes. So really this is 3 weeks of meals for 4 days a week Wink
