The -ek thing is so Poylish. My grandfather was Moyshek, obm, my great grandfather Hershek obm. My great uncle Shimek obm.

And my father's cousins from before the war were Henek, shlamek and shimek....
Naftali is a beautiful name. There is "Naftoosh", "toolek", "tooleh", "tolik", "talik", just offhand.

You know, Naftoli already sounds like a nickname, because it ends in a ee sound. None of the other bnei Yaakov do. Leave it be. It's victorious and beautiful and special.

I agree! I never understand why people choose nicknames over already beautiful Jewish names.
