So I am making baked ziti for a new mom and her large family kah. They specifically asked for ziti.
I wanted to know if I can make this recipe, which I never tried before
http://imamother.com/forum/vie.....=ziti
or if I need a more filling recipe like this one that I have made in the past
http://www.chabad.org/theJewis.....I.htm
I will be sending a cheese couscous salad (another request) and still deciding about what the third thing should be. (They don't like soup.)
Can you tell me if the first recipe is filling and wholesome? Thanks.

So you're sending them 2 pasta and cheese dishes?
What about steamed or roasted mixed veggies? Or a fresh green salad?
I would make the ziti from the Chabad site, a loaf of garlic bread and either the salad or the roasted veggies.

The mom specifically asked for baked ziti because that's all her family likes, and for the a cheese couscous salad which she likes. The salad also has fresh zucchini and tomatoes in it. She said that anything else will not be eaten. I was also thinking of sending warm garlic bread. I guess fruit for dessert will probably work to round it out a bit.
Thank you for your help!

Can you post the cous cous salad recipe please? :)
And it sounds like this family would benefit from some 'sneaky cooking'.... http://www.thesneakychef.com/

Here is the recipe that I use from the back of the couscous box.

I agree with you! Maybe I can add some more veggies into the marinara sauce.

If the family is so selective, why not ask the mother what else to send? She may want just the two dishes she requested. I'd give her a choice, like "Can I include a fruit sald with that? Or canned peaches? Or roasted zuchinni? Or pickles? Or what do you suggest?"

OP here. Can I assemble cooked pasta with cheese and sauce tonight and then bake it fresh right before? Do I have to worry about the pasta becoming soggy from the sauce?
