Does anyone know if this is a reliable website http://www.ooma.com ? You purchase the product once, connect it to your computer and you have free telephone service. I need to know asap or else I'm opening a regular phone line. Thanks

my sister in law has it, and her line is HORRIBLE! staticy, blanks out, its awful.. but im just judging from the receiving end

What more do you want to know? We've had excellent experiences with it, as long as your Internet speed and quality is reasonable. Pay a one-time charge for the unit, and then a small monthly fee for taxes (usually a few dollars). There's an upgraded plan that gives you another line and some more features for I believe $100/year.
