Do you always try to make sure you serve all three for supper during the week? Shabbos is different, that's why I say during the week.

I do all of the above. sometimes I sever protein, starch and vegie, sometimes a protein and vegie, sometimes just a protein and starch. it balances out by the end of the week, if not then month. if I'm really lazy and don't want takeout then its only protein-chicken wings

The first, but I often put them all into one dish, and I don't care how much of each is there. For example, homemade pizza with a vegetable topping has cheese (protein) and vegetables. That's enough to make me happy. Or if I make a tuna casserole, I may just cut up a cucumber on the side. That's enough for me, even if every person only eats one or two slices of it.

Makes me feel better, I guess.

I try my to, but they're usually not 3 dishes.

Like a stirfry with chicken and veggies served with rice.
Or a homemade whole wheat pizza with cheese and topped with vegetables.

AG, great minds think alike Smile I was thinking of mentioning tuna casserole. I put in frozen mixed veggies in that. Sometimes cooked beforehand, sometimes not.

sometimes if I'm feeling guilty I count the pickles as a vegie!

Usually yes all three, or I will serve cut up fresh vegetables as the snack before supper and then just protein/starch.

I'll serve all three but they're often all in one pot or a sliced cucumber or tomato is the vegetable.
