You have to put it in the sun to dry.
When it is still very wet straight from the machine and have the sun shine directly on it. If your in EY then you still have a strong sun in the morning.

Use a scoop or 2 of Nature Brite or Oxyclean powder in a basin. Add boiling hot water. Make garmet wet by running under cold water. Place wet garment into hot basin.
Let soak overnight.
Repeat if necessary.

Something I learned about formula, always put a bib on the baby, no matter what he/she is wearing.

My sister uses a bar of regular bath soap. I've never tried it myself but she claims it's the only thing that works for spit-up stains (I'm assuming that's what you mean.)

Spray with OxyClean spray - works better than shout. If it's a really bad stain, use OxyClean powder with or in place of your detergent. Instead of soaking in a basin - start your load (using OxyClean), let the water come in, after the machine is on for 5 mins, stop the cycle and let it sit for 10 mins. This is less of a hassle than soaking all the baby clothing in a separate basin before washing. I do this with most loads of my baby's laundry and during the summer with my bigger kids when their clothing is full of who-knows-what from playing outside all day.

I second the nature bright, although I don't dissolve it in hot water I just sprinkle it directly on the fabric (spot test first) Gets everything out even on clothing that's been in the dryer.
