I have been asked to recommand a book FOR teen girls in teshuva (with a promiscuous past), BY a frum author who also had such a past and turned her life around for good!

The only author dealing with this I have read about is Wendy Shalit, does she fit the requirements? I know nothing about her. Thank-you for helping!

Are you looking for a frum book or not? Wendy Shalit's books are great, but she wasn't frum when she wrote her first (A Return to Modesty) and her book Girls Gone Mild is more of a collection than a personal anecdotal story...

Not sure about Gila Manolson's past, but her books are from a frum perspective.

I think A Return to Modesty would be great. She wrote it before she was frum - it really gave a view from the perspective of someone who knows what is going on and doesn't like it. I gave it my mom to read and she really found it to be enlightening (and she's not frum). I highly recommend it.
