I received this by email: Hatzoloh Toronto's search for Eli Horowitz, one of the men who remains missing in North Bay, continues. They are trying to organize a large-scale ground search for this coming Sunday (September 11, 2006). Hatzoloh will arrange for a bus to transport volunteers to and from North Bay.
There will be minyan and a search briefing on the bus.
Volunteers should bring comfortable shoes, food, water, a change of clothing and should be in good health.
If you, or anyone you know, are available to volunteer, please call the Hatzoloh office as soon as possible at (416) 398-2300.
Thank you

Does the man have children? Are they being taken care of? Is there anyway people far away can help?

They are planning a very big ground search tomorrow (Sunday). We got phone calls and emails from our daughters school and from our Shul (In Toronto), asking that any men who can help, join the search. There will be a bus provided by Hatzolloh and the men will be given instructions on the bus. That's all I know. I
f I hear anything I will let you know.
All we can do is wait and daven.

I got this in an email:
We all remember the story of the young man and his father-in-law who disappeared while taking a boat-ride and a swim. The father-in-law's body turned up, but the young man's did not. Finally, the search team almost gave up and ended the search, assuming that the body was drawn into some quicksand underwater, leaving the young man's wife an agunah - halachically unable to remarry. Now it seems that someone saw something that looked like a body floated up a short while ago, and the search teams are at it once again, trying to locate it in the area where it is believed to have appeared. Our prayers may mean the difference of a lifetime for this young agunah. Please join us in praying that this woman, mother to twin three-year-olds who only recently had their upsherin (first haircut), will be spared and will be able to rebuild her life once
more.
The name is: Avraham Elimelech ben Yaakov Shmuel HaLevi.

I just found this website while searching for news.
It's about the family and making donations to help them.

Motek, I don't think it's right to publicize his private medical condition.
