Lekach – variation on a honey cake recipe

3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup oil
1 cup honey
1 cup coffee
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
a good “glug” shnapps

Separate eggs if you want and mix all wet ingredients in mixer. Add dry ingredients. Bake for one hour but don’t let it dry out. Makes one 9 by 13 or 2 9 by 6 loaf pans. Recipe does not double.

Is this one moist, CM?

And what does "separate eggs if you want" mean? I've not made separating eggs type cakes before...

Does it work without schnapps?
