How do I get my apartment to smell fresh? Since I cook every day, the "smell" of my apartment is always that of fried onions or some other food smell that just sits and accumulates. I guess I'm asking for something that can eliminate odors, or if you have any other ideas, please let me know!!

You can buy those plug-ins. You might need to try 2 or 3 scents to find one that you like. I really like one from bath and body works

have you tried scented candles?
Also, you can put a fabric softener sheet in the vents of your air-conditioner -- this works really well.

boil apples with cinnamon bark then place on a crockpot ! it will make the place smell yummy and is 100% natural ,some people are allergic to scented/plug ins candles BTW so I got this tip from our realtor friend.

Do you have a vent over your stove? If so, use it!

You're probably letting grease accumulate by your stove, otherwise I have no explanation for why your apartment doesn't have a pleasant smell when you're not cooking.

I find that certain odors seem to seep into fabrics and stay there (you know how your clothes/sheitel can stink after frying onions or garlic). It's possible the smell is getting into your furniture or rugs. Try spraying them with Febreeze and cleaning them periodically.
