You totally stole my idea LOL
I'm thinking of doing a "kiddush" theme- beer, little kugels, crackers and (homemade) mock chopped liver, some kind of baked good. You could also do other dips and cut-up veggies.

I got the idea from someones post on here..don't remember whose! was that yours? Anything besides liver ? I need to keep it cheap and don't know how to make mock chopped liver..

Chumus can be very cheap (in Israel at least)- repackage in small containers.

Best shalach manos I ever saw:
