I call this Ida Lopez bundt cake b/c it was made by a character of that name in the book Boy Meets Girl by Meg Cabot. It's a doctored-up cake mix recipe, so it's easy (not too much measuring!), but more interesting (and tasty!) than plain Duncan Hines. You can glaze it or add chips (choc, white, butterscotch, whatever) to dress it up more. But as chocolate cakes go, this is one of my favorites.

Ida Lopez’s Bundt Cake

1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup oil
4 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup warm water
1 12 oz. package chocolate chips, semi-sweet
1 package dark chocolate fudge or devil's food cake mix (not with pudding added)

grease and flour a bundt or angel food cake pan (use cocoa instead of flour to aviod white coating on cake)

mix everything together except eggs and chips.

add eggs one at a time, mixing well. fold in chips.

put in greased and floured bundt or angel food cake pan. bake at 350 for 1 hour.

let cool in pan for 10 minutes. carefully insert a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen cake. remove from pan and cool completely. serve drizzled with melted dark chocolate or covered with powdered sugar. serves 12.

chocolate mint brownies are from the spice and spirit. its a regular brownie with peppermint flavouring added to white icing, spread on top once baked. (and melted chocolate on top of that but I skip that) really excellent.

This is the easiest cake ever, and it's very good.

No eggs, so very easy to mix. I put everything into a 9 x13 pan and mix with a fork for a few minutes, and that's it.

3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
8 Tbs cocoa

Mix all those dry ingredients

Pour on top

10 Tbs oil
2 Tbs vinegar
2 tsp vanilla
2 c. cold water

350 for 45 minutes.

easiest EVER parve cheesecake (and really yummy too!)

takes five mins to prepare!

on (8 oz) pack parve cream cheese (like toffuti)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg

mix all together
pour into graham cracker crust pie shell

bake on 350 for a half hour.

DONE!!!
when cool, you can top it with cherry or blueberry pie filling, though it's good plain too.

(the original recipe was milchig- same thing except with regular cream cheese. both are so good and so easy!)

Mine is similar to TranquilityAndPeace above but I mix it in a bowl. I don't want leftovers around and this one is plenty for 10- 12. The glaze makes it look so elegant. I love that it is margarine free and there are NO eggs! A very inexpensive cake.
Here it is: The 6 Minute Cake

Im looking through this thread and most posts mention the names of the cakes and dont give recipes, and the ones where the recipes are given, theres no one saying they tried it and it was amazing.

Can anyone offer easy cake recipes that are no fail and amazing.

Duncan Hines, for sure. When I lived in the US I could find it on sale for 99 cents, and I'd stock up. Then I'd patchke it with different things like nuts, pureed carrots, apple sauce, or anything else that struck my fancy.

Here in Israel, it's about 21 shekels, and I just can't justify paying for imported food. I try to eat local as much as possible, so I do more cooking from scratch, or just do a fruit salad.

I have a recipe for chocolate brownies. It’s only 5 ingredients. No mixer, no bowls... just pour everything in a 9x13 and mix with a fork. They are so good.. I’ve tried adding things like vanilla, baking powder but they taste great with just these 5 ingredients. Sometimes I make 1/2 the recipe and use an 8x8 pan. Let me know if you’re interested.

I make them with oil because they come out gooier that way and they are fantastic.

This cinnamon chocolate cake which is amazing

I have made it in a bundt but it tends to stick at times. I bake it like a cake not like squares.

Banana chocolate chip cake is great in a bundt pan.

The cinnamon chocolate cake looks really good. Think I can sub the butter for oil?

Anyone know if you mix the ingredients after you pour the liquids on top? I’m assuming you do...
