Hey!

If anyone is interested in signing up for the Starwood AMEX credit card I would really love if I can refer you, so I can get bonus points. Please pm me your email address and I will send you a referal email.

THANKS

P.S. This card is amazing - free hotel nights (2-3 nights just for getting approved!) in Sheratons, W, Four Points, Le Meridien, St. Regis etc., really great benefits.

I have this card and never redeemed any free hotel stays. Anybody did it? I'm clicking around the website and can not figure out how to redeem my free hotel nights.

so it's not a free night? I saw for booking with 4,000 points a night. Is this the "free night?"
I thought I was supposed to get 5 free nights a year or something....

Have the card for maybe 2 years...
You have any idea if 4000 points is a good deal? how much is a hotel stay without having this "free night?" I mean obviously every hotel is different.... but overall?

4000 is their lowest tier. It probably costs a anywhere from 75 to 115 to stay there but you can easily check. Look on that hotels website how much it costs for that night

It's a great card but you don't really get free nights for signing up.
You get a certain amount of bonus points and you can use those to book hotel stats

Also the card had a fee after the first year. (But for me it's still worth it.)

I have never reddemed my spg points for hotel stay, I always transfer it into airline miles. with most airlines (apart from united) for each 20000 points you transfer, you get 25000 miles! I have been using this csrd for a few years, I think its worth the annual fee.

right now it is the best sign up bonus EVER

You can only get the sign-up bonus if you're never before received it in your lifetime. As others said, there's no free nights given with this card. If you meet the spend requirement (I believe $5K in 90 days, but double-check), then you get a bonus 35K Starwood points, which can be transferred to numerous airlines to book flights, or used directly to book nights in Starwood hotels.

The number of points needed varies based on the quality of the hotel. You can get weekend nights in the lowest tier for only 3,000, but the nicest hotels go for far more. It also depends on availability, which is not a given. Still, it is definitely a great card, but after the first year, it does have an annual fee.
