I know what everyone thinks about ear piercing for kids we had a thread on it. I want to pierce my daughters ears my baby yes. I am just wondering is it too young to do it next week when she will be four days shy of her month birthday? I usually do it by a month.

I asked my ped and he recommended 6 months...

We didnt ask and pierced our daughters ears at 3 1/2 weeks. We had no problems.

I asked dr @ 1st checkup & did it @ 7 weeks. I must say they have falen out in middle of the night twice but they r so tiny that even if c"V she swallowed it it would come right thru.
somebody told me yesterday that The Lubavitcher Rebbe wrote an answer to s/1 that u should wait until 3 or if the daughter asks (sourse? anyone?)

I pierce the ears after the first round of shots according to my pediatrician.
BTW, I am Lubavitch. I never heard of the Rebbe saying to wait until 3.

DD was 18 mos old, the oldest you can safely do a baby or toddler.

I pierced my first dd at 3 weeks & 2nd at 3 mos just did not get around to it. I personally think the earlier the better b/c they don't know to pull on it.

I pierced all 3 of my girls' ears at the age of 2 weeks!!

I was advised to do it before 4 months because they start understanding better & may pull on them then & may resist having it done. Worked for me. That was after the pediatrician in the hospital said, "I hope you're not planning on piercing her ears until she's much older!" "Of course." I said

I did my first dd at 5 days second at 1 month (born a month early and in hospital for 2 weeks) 3 dd at 1 week
