my oven is digital where it ssays the temperature and you push the buttons to raise it..

And then it switches off all on its own? And the light doesn't go on when you open the door? Yes. You may take the baked good out and serve, but may not put it back in the oven to be reheated.

there is a timer on the oven that I can set. I am just wondering if it would cause the numbers to go down on the reading and if that would be a problem..

Check the OK website, which IIRC has an article on ovens with or without "Sabbath mode".

Be careful. sometimes those timers beep when done-and dont stop beeping until you turn it off manually. My oven does that. So I dont set the timer and my oven automatically turns off after 12 hours from the last time I set it. Most ovens have this feature.
