I'm directing a play for a Bais Yaakov high school, and I'd love to make details (I'm adapting from someone else's skeleton of a script which is set somewhere else) accurate to the location and time period.
How do you suggest I go about researching? Is it like a term paper, with scholarly rigor and academic excellence, or for the sake of fiction, do you allow yourselves more wiggle room? If so, how do you decide what you can handwave, and what you can't compromise on?
TIA!
