My grandmother's Hungarian name was Manci, and her English name was Margaret. Though I wish there was a way to find out her Hebrew name, I don't think it's possible.
Is there a common Hebrew/Jewish/Yiddish name that would have gone with Manci in pre-war Hungary? Can anyone suggest a name that might correspond well, besides Margalit (which I already thought of)?
Thanks!

My grandmother (ad meah v'esrim) is the same (are we related - jk): Manci (we spell it Monci) as a Hungarian nickname, Margaret as an English name, and her Hebrew name is Mirel Tzivia.
