Those were the only bars I liked because I don't care for chocolate bars.

I don't remember nougat bars made by paskesz, but in england we used to get a huge long slab of nougat, half pink, half white.

I have seen kosher nougat recently, I think maybe from south africa? or the usa somewhere. small peices wrapped up in a clear plastic bag. I think it had an ou on, not a heimeshe brand. (there are ous on non american products as well)

egozi bars have nougat inside but I don't like them. It's too soft.

I miss something colled Rondos. I think they were the cy version of rolos. Absolutely delcious.

and a milchig striped chewy toffee - licorice flavour and toffee flavour. So so so good. Weird memory - I remember eating the licorice ones the day margeret thatcher was reelected.

I'd like to see it just for the memories. I did used to like them, but honestly I like better what has come on the market since then. I love Klik bars. Not that I need all the extra calories.

there are so many things that have gone. Has anyone see the cholov yisroel cheese curls they made years ago? Now they only have the pareve ones.

Since strauss ice cream has become available in the US, I don't need anything other anymore. Nothing. Just strauss ice cream.

oh, I have such fond memories of going to the corner grocery with my mother and begging her to buy me a nougat roll.... Smile

what about tangy taffies? and those colorful button candies that you could peel off a long strip of paper? not that I really liked those, but havent seen them around for ages

They do sell parve cheese curls. And button candy I've seen, I"m not sure about the small ones, but they sell jumbo ones now. I remember tangy taffy - is that similar to laffy taffy which is very popular now?

yes they still sell button candies and tangy taffys.

someone said choo choos were the same as now and laters. are you sure? I remember liking choo choos better...

there was a lollypop I can't remember what it was called, but they were big and square and had ridges on them (like bumpy lines) and they came in tons of flavors and they were soooo good!! and also another lollypop that was big and oval and came in a zillion flavors- sour apple, strawberry and cream... they were also amazing, haven't seen either of those around Sad

also, anyone remember this cookie company that was around have a few years ago? they made really home-made tasting cookies, chocolate chip, oatmeal, etc and they came in a cylindrical container. also dont remember the name. but they were so good!
