I went to visit a married friend of mine over the summer and they had this game called quelf. It was hilarious and we had a great time playing it. I'm going to ask here where she got it because I haven't seen it around where we live.

Can someone please post a pic of the Upwords game that is allowed on Shabbos (doesnt snap together, pieces fall to the floor)?

Not a word game but I’m surprised that stratego hasn’t been mentioned. There’s a yiddish version called hatzola go.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned (Settlers of) Catan yet! Way cool game.
I'll also second Set and Blokus. Smart games, fun to play.
Perpetual Commotion is super fun to play, fast paced, good for up to 6 players I think.
All these games are good for medium age kids, older kids, and adults. Younger kids can also get the hang of Set but might be too slow to play against older kids.

I just wanted to put it out there that Perpetual Commotion (great game!!) does not have to be only for 6 people- you can buy additional card sets of different colors.
Our 3 top games are..
Perpetual Commotion (my 5 yr old caught on too!)
Code Names
Word Spot (only for 2 players but we play with 3, or winner plays with the next kid).
