Don't know if this is the right forum, but is it normal that the dry-cleaners charged me $8.75 to clean a short satin jumper? Thought it was a little outrageous! What would you have expected to pay??

That's exactly what it costs to clean at dress by me (in the midwest) at the cheaper cleaners. The nicer one is a few dollars more. And this is why I only buy dry clean only things in dark colors so I can clean them less often.

Yes, normal. Confused

That's why there is nothing in our house that needs dry cleaning, except my husband's suits...

Dry cleaning is nuts. We only use it for coats.

unfortunatly as the owner of a dry cleaning store, I can tell u as expensive as it is for u, its only because our costs are so high... all our products r being brought in from china bc the labor costs r too high in america, there are no american production companies for us to order from any more and the chinese own the market, so they keep upping their prices, making us pass it on to u.... im a cheaper store, and for a mens suit I charge 11.75... most places in my area are 14-15$ but keep in mind, if somehting says dry cleanonly, there is a reason... if u wash it at home u r likely to ruin it
