ok, so now I'm stuck deciding between the Kishka chicken and Falafel chicken. Anyone made either or both?

Made the kishke chicken last night. It was soooo good. Not bland at all.

I'm making the falafel one for Shabbos, but not using chicken breasts, I'm using skinned chicken quarters. I think it will work.

momof3, I was going to do the same with the Falafel chicken, but I'm not sure it will be so good. Chicken takes a lot longer than chicken breast to cook, and the falafel will probably burn before the chicken is baked thoroughly. If you cover it, it will probably be soggy as opposed to crispy.
JMHO.
I'm making some kickin' chicken (it was a big hit last time) and some Kishka chicken.

Also, I've made from KBD Entertains... I just can't remember what!

Crayon. . . WOW!!!

I think I've made three recipes from the regular KBD in the year that I've had it.

Do you usually make lots of recipes from cookbooks, or have you made so much from this cookbook b/c it's really so quick and easy?

ETA: just realized that you weren't talking about the short on time KBD. Nevermind!!!!!

I made the falafel chicken with dark meat and it was delicious.
The kishka chicken was also great - I think that it really depends on the kishka you buy. The kind that I have gotten (and hope that I willl be able to get more of soon Sad ) is spicy so it was great Smile

Wow Crayon! You made a lot, but not the one thing I made this Shabbos - apple gallette I think it's called. It's in the oven. Looks good.

I made the maple-crusted chicken with sweet potato aioli (what is that?), pumpkin bisque, and sauteed veggie salad for Shabbos from KBD-SOT. The salad tastes great! Will let you all know BN about the rest. ;-)

Thanx for all the updates Crayon! Keep them coming Smile

I was at a friend for shabbas who had the cookbook and I looked at all the recipes. I'm thinking of getting it this week and making stuff from it this shabbas (having lots of guests!) so it's good to read which recipes were hits. I'm always scared to "experiment" on guests.

Oh, btw...

My friend made the tomato basil chicken for friday night and it was really good! Dh put in a request for it from me, and my friend said it was really easy to make.

The recipe calls for using a food processor, which adds more prep time, and a lot more cleaning time. But my friend didn't process anything, she just cut the tomatoes into small pieces, and it came out really good! So for those looking to reduce the work, skip the food processor, you don't need.

The pumpkin soup was excellent and so was the maple crusted chicken with sweet potato aioli. Definitely going to be repeats!

Tonight I'm making the sweet and sticky green beans for melave malka. Will let you know how they come out. :-D
