My full time babysitter is really amazing and I really would like to get her something special for Chanukah. I always give extra $$ around Rosh Hashana and Pesach so I'm thinking I should do something else for Chaukah. I don't know her especially well, but she works very hard babysitting all day and goes to school at night.
My DD loves being there so much that she runs in in the morning and doesn't want to leave!! Even after a 8.5hr day!!
Any ideas??? Thanks!!

That's so thoughful of you!
Do you share her with anyone? You could all chip in.
What does she like? A gift certificate for a relaxing mani/pedi is nice, or a restaurant gift card for dinner. Or something for school or electronic gadget things?

Maybe something personalized. Like a pitcher with matching cups.

If you know her, you should be able to figure out what she will enjoy.
I am giving my au pair a watch for the holidays, it is purple with a resin band (Editors Closet has a sale going on right now, watches under $50 with free shipping; I got her an Invicta watch). Purple is her favorite color, she is a true purple fanatic, and she doesn't have a sturdy daily watch to wear. I know she will love it.
I will also buy her a scarf and gloves because she needs them.

Oh, really? I would like to think I know my dh and I still have a hard time figuring out what he would like as gifts.
