Thanks for the responses. I am looking right now to see what sounds nice to the "greneral public".

Penina Chana- I do not love as much but it would be named after someone. Meira Bracha is a name that we like better, but have no real "reason" to name that name.

The two boys names I like equally and wouldn't really be named for anyone, so Im just kind of looking to see what people think sounds better.

dh and I keep going back and forth on all the names.

I personally like Meira better BUT I would most likely choose penina because you said it would be named after someone. I think it's important to name after someone not only for the neshama who is no longer with us but also for the feelings of relatives who are still alive. For example their children or siblings or spouses... Especially if it a parent's parent then I feel it is an inyan of kibbutz av v'aim.
As for boys I like Gabriel simcha!

I wouldnt choose the name penina chana, because penina and chana had some disagreements way back when

but, that being said, I have a relative named penina chana who is super-sweet and kind, so now the name appeals to me!

despite the relative of mine named penina chana, the names meira bracha and gavriel simcha sound prettier (and handome-r?) than the other 2 choices.

Meira is pretty (so is Chana) but for Meira- there aren't really nicknames... I'd go with Meira Chana but you probably don't want to split it up if it's named after someone.
Also, What would you call her? by both names or just the first?

I like Avrohom simcha- because I like the nickname Avi. I don't like Avrumi as much.
I like Gavi too so either boys name is nice.

I like Meira better but bracha is not a favourite. Penina too but not chana. So trouble deciding between those two.

I prefer Avrumi over Gavi so I would say avraham simcha.
