I've made another recipe and enjoyed them a lot. Problem was, I think I ended up eating almost all of them. I love them with mustard (I think that is a Philadelphia thing!)

Have you frozen them? If yes, at what stage, once baked or raw dough?

1 t. dry yeast
1 1/2 c warm water
1 t honey
1 tsp salt
3 t light olive or canola oil
3 1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/2 c wheat germ

Glaze-
1 egg beaten with 1 t water

Optional toppings-
salt
sesame seeds
poppy seeds

Dissolve yeast in water with honey in a bowl until bubbly. Stir in salt, oil, and 2 c flour. Beat until smooth. Add wheat germ and remaining flour to make a soft dough. Mix for five minutes. Let it rise 45 minutes-1 hour.

Punch down dough and divide into 16 equal parts. Roll into 16 inch long ropes. Shape into pretzel twists or other shapes. Transer pretzels to greased baking sheets. Let rise 20 minutes. Brush glaze on top and sprinkle with desired topping. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Maybe leave out the honey then, or use less.
