My Cuisinart fleishig pot set is great...except that it jumps from a 3 qt to a 9 qt. To make meatballs or any soup more than one night's worth I have to drag out the huge pot. What size is most practical for meatballs with 2 lbs chopped meat, soups, one pot meals etc. but is not too big? 4? 5? I looked around and they're so expensive I want to be happy with it.
TIA!

My fleishig pots are 1Q, 2Q, 3Q, 8Q and 11Q. Based on those sizes and the amount of people I cook for, the 3Q is the most useful - not too big to do "small things," and not too small to do "big things." Easy to wash.

I guess I forgot to mention that I'm usually only cooking for myself, dh, and toddler.
I found that many all-in-one -pasta, meat- recipes don't fit into my 3qt and 8qt sounds huge to me.
Basically between 3-4-5, not sure which one is most practical.

3 or 4 qt is the perfect size.

I have a 6 qt that I love- big enough to be a big pot yet small enough to not be a "huge Pot"
